"Marine Corps Air Station"

This collaborative work consists of a multiple-image photograph by Bill Collins with poem text by Richard Holeton, published in Darkroom Art by Jerry Burchfield in 1981 (New York: American Photographic Book Publishing), p. 125. The caption by Burchfield reads: "Bill Collins sandwiched a litho negative with two original negatives to produce this multiple image." The iconic Marine Corps Air Station in Tustin, CA—a favorite subject for Collins' early black and white photographs—was destroyed by fire on November 7, 2023.
